I don't feel tempted to continue reading it ... I've made it to the 16th chapter and that's all. Should I push myself or should I abandon reading it .. ?
Tessa Push through, I agree the beginning can be a little slow but the way he takes it is beautiful. I felt very satisfied by its ending

I've read Gatsby, Paradise and Damned; and if I'm honest, all of his characters and stories blurred together. (I often confuse Paradise and Damned) does this one have a life of its own? Or does he piggy back on his other "Jazz Age" writings?

Even within this book, some of the minor characters (beyond the main ones) became muddled for me, because their personalities and stories were all essentially the same. (less)
