Did anyone else find this book incredibly hard to read because of how incredibly awkward Marisa was? I just found myself rolling my eyes or groaning anytime she had interactions with literally any human in the book. I feel like her awkwardness without a real explanation of why was overkill and it just took away from what could have been a good novel. 😐

A kid coping with real social anxiety might be enlightened to see that it’s a Real Thing, not just his own unique defect, and that it doesn’t automatically rule out having a life.(less)
