Its not as saccharine sweet as CMBYN, is way darker and melancholic. Also theres a subtle political portrait of ex communist cities , and shows pretty dark and depressing sides to ' queer ' lives in Sofia. I wasnt one of CMBYN's feverish critics, I enjoyed it for the lightness it was, but this this book is in another category. (less)
