Does this book and/or its predecessor address or acknowledge trans kids? I.e., the fact that some children who are told they are boys are in reality girls or non-binary, and some boys and young men were assigned female at birth. Without acknowledging these demographics, I don't see how these books can be representative of a good range of kids. Also: are race, class, and religion brought up as factors?
