I would love to see a book that shares contemporary examples of emotional intelligence and ideas that connect to the actions of the Prophet PBUH. The concepts in modern discussions about emotional intelligence only support the framework and foundation that has been laid for us by the sunnah of the Prophet PBUH.

For example, when Lebron James was asked about “locker room talk”, he said that “We don’t disrespect women in the locker room. I’ve got a wife, a mother, and a daughter.”

I immediately thought about the story of the man who came to the Prophet and His response to the man’s question about this topic.

I think there are so many contemporary examples like this one in our recent history.

Ultimately, God knows best.
