I swear if she is Selena reincarnated I will finally close the book on this series. if there's no stakes anymore adn people just get reincarnated left and right or made into a ghost or 'immortal' (unless your name is Wellsie I guess) to be back for their HEA, I'm done anyone else hope shes simply her own person?

To prep for this story I want to re-read the book with the scene where Trez and Theresa first meet and have dinner at a diner but I can't remember what book it's in. Does anyone know?

I don’t get it. Selena died three months ago, how can Theresa be her reincarnation? Selena’s soul was supposedly placed into Theresa as a baby (per Lassiter’s explanation) but that was decades ago! The timeline doesn’t match up. Same thing with Darius/ John Mathew

It’s not meant to be understood how Lassiter was able to put Selena’s soul into a child’s body. It was implied that this was premeditated. As in it was Selena’s fate from the beginning. The Scribe Virgin is a different person than Lassiter. Just because he chose to do something to provide this miracle to Trez doesn’t mean the Scribe Virgin would be willing, or even have the same inclination, to do the same for someone. I believe it’s about faith. And as the reader you’re meant to just understand that miracles of the spiritual variety are meant to be accepted as a blessing without many of the details.
