Letter or not, I would have thought Kit's love for her would have him going there regardless. (less)

<spoiler> For instance, Kit is Robert Langford's son with Tess, and there's even a joke about how she called one of the obnoxious swans "Caroline." They refer to the bunker on the lake with the bridge as well. Kit likely learned to be such a good forger because of his artistic/con-artist mother as well!

Prunella Schuyler, who we see also talk about her time on the Lusitania, also ties in to Williams' Schuyler Family tree.
