Immediately from the description I thought of her. Which is odd as she was a famous redhead, not a blonde, but facially sounded identical. If Barbara was around 60 in the book in 1982, her age fits too.

And Pamela Franklin as Elise. In fact, the only one I couldn’t picture clearly was Connie, maybe because we get to know her better as an old lady? Then she had a kind of Maggie Smith feel to her.(less)
