Yes, I'd say Brooke is one of the strongest characters in the novel, and the whole series. Her character growth manifests differently to Evan, the male MC. Unlike Evan, Brooke begins the novel already a strong character. She doesn't need to find her courage like Evan does, but does struggle more to accept the fact demons and magic exists.
