If she's not prepared for thorough details on how gastrointestinal cancer kills a person and the grief it causes loved ones left behind, then no. The book fundamentally is about this grieving process. But sprinkled in generously are examples and descriptions of Sara's work and some of her career milestones, though she does not often explain in a popular way the science behind what she's doing - only what project she's working on when, and what inspired her to that specific project.(less)
