I got excited thinking there was a new Tracy Chevalier book out called Violet but it seems to be her book A Single Thread by another name, am I correct?

Shannon It looks like Violet is the foreign language version.

Was anyone surprised by the ending. I did not expect the last incident with Wells or a child?

Jenny I was a bit surprised by the child but not Wells. One reviewer described the novel as bittersweet and the ending certainly was.
