People don't seem to read Herman Wouk much these days, but he is excellent. I like the way he can have so many characters juggling at once and yet they are flow and intersect in clever and interesting ways. Does anyone else love his writing?

When does this book end? I got this book at the library after seeing the TV Series and the book ends way before the war. Is there a second volume, or did they add on to the book in the TV Series?

Alun Winds Of War starts before WW2, chronicling the build up and earlier stages of the war. It ends with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour.

There was a scene in a makeshift theater and they were going to have a puppet show or something, and then something really momentous happened (a transport, maybe?) and Aaron then spoke to the audience about Job.
