how are people rating a book which is yet to be released?

Emily Some may be receiving Advanced Reader Copies (often sent out to reviewers, librarians, etc), others may just be rating it before reading it.

I found this quite underwhelming. Any recommendations for good mystery series?

Elyse The original plan (by Larsson) was for 10 books. He may have left an outline for all 10 as well.

I have avoided this series due to sexual and graphic violence. What are the levels of this kind of violence in this book AND is it worth dropping in on the series at this point? This is a book club choice and I don't want to be a wuss.

What happened to Galinov during the end scene? It says Blomkvist grabbed his shoulder and that was it?
