The idea of only one person holding all the memories seems very familiar. This sounds a little too much like The Giver to me... am I wrong in thinking that?

To someone who has read The Deep: I read An Unkindness of Ghosts and loved it until I got to the ending. I HATE non-endings. From the author's financial view, I understand setting up sequels but that doesn't do it for me. Please let me know if the author does the same in The Deep so I don't waste my time? Thanks

Isaiah There is a clear ending of the story. There is room for a sequel or related novels, but there is no cliff hanger or a feeling of being incomplete.
