A number of the featured reviews sound satirical. Is this a good introduction to wabi sabi - Japanesese cultural attitude or is their a more accurate guide/understanding?

Thad Absolutely. I enjoy the satirical comments as well. I believe wabi sabi, in much the same way as teaism, requires laughing at yourself.
