The book is quite accessible. I would suggest you add your own experiences of sexist language to the discussion. One suggestion is for everyone to offer examples of what women are called. I’d do that with my students and they would come up with over 70 examples per class, almost all of them negative. We would discuss what it feels like to live in a society that demeans women so much. It was enlightening for them.(less)
