Why two different titles?

Stuart S Not sure. As far as I know the 'Caper' title was used in the US, and 'Mayday' in the UK. Unusual but not entirely unknown for this to happen.…moreNot sure. Unanswered Questions (1)

I'm of the older generation (55), and even though brought up in earlier times with different values, even I was taken aback with the way Dirk Pitt treated that grieving woman near the start of the book. My questions is... the Dirk Pitt series runs for 25 books. Can any reader recommend Cussler's other series, for instance the Numa Files, where the author gets away from this kind of misogyny?
