Clear…moreThis thread has attracted a bit of attention lately. Looks like the question has morphed from the original to "when is a spoiler not a spoiler?" Clearly, the answer to that is when it is in the same sentence or line as the alert. A spoiler alert alerts the reader that it is to come (or hidden) thereby giving the reader a choice as to whether or not they want to read it. So, Elizabeth, your question is not so much a spoiler alert, merely a spoiler. Bit of a shame.(less)
