Besides the fact that it is 100+ pages longer, does anyone know how this version of "Theology of the Body" differs from the 1996 version "Theology of the Body: Human Love in the Divine Plan?"

Hunter Van Wagenen My understanding is that the translation is a bit more accurate regarding the thoughts that were in Italian, rather than a direct translation of the I…moreMy understanding is that the translation is a bit more accurate regarding the thoughts that were in Italian, rather than a direct translation of the Italian words themselves which led to some potentially misleading uses of English words like "lust," etc. Also, extra page length you referred to is mostly Waldstein's (the translator) introduction, in which he distills the thoughts of JPII, a great bit of commentary on this big theological tome.(less)
