For one thing, neither novel is really M/M or F/F. The romances are important, but in neither case are they the plot. If you can tolerate M/F subplots--which I doubt you find so anti-interesting that you're unable to read huge chunks of what's published in our heteronormative culture!--then you can certainly tolerate the M/M in Witchmark.(less)

Why does goodreads even allow ratings when the book isn't even out yet? I know a lot of people who won't even pick up a book with less than 4 stars... Who cares if you don't want to read it. No need to rate it then.

However, many have the same sources as the "Advance Praise for [This Book]" that you've seen on dust jackets: pre-publication copies. Publishing is a long process, and readable text is available long before the final book hits the market.
