It's a different approach for him, and I think it's beautiful. When you hold the book, you'll see some amazing subtleties in the art in how he pulls together Charity, the snow, and the terrible creature that lurks below. I hope he'll be doing the cover for the next book!(less)

Maybe not in Los Angeles or San Francisco, but in the less "metropolitan" parts of California, it can still be very conservative and definitely more homogeneous racially.

But that alone isn't what gets Charity bullied because her brother -- who does a lot harder drugs than pot -- doesn't get bullied. All you have to do is stand out in a way people don't like for whatever reason, and you'll get taken down. That's not limited to your age, race, gender or location. (less)

It's called Inversion, and I'm wrapping it up for submission as I type this. After that, there's one more book in the trilogy. I know the broad strokes but I haven't written it yet.

As for the prequel, I do want to write a novella about Aidan's father and mother. The story is complete in my head and truly haunts me. I just need to write it! (less)

Yes, that's true! The second book does, as well, I'm afraid. I hope someday all three books in the trilogy can be published as a single volume.

That said, the book does end with the conclusion of the first terror. So, you'll absolutely know the ending of the initial story. But as often happens with stories, the first begets a second, more pressing tale. I hope everyone enjoys it!(less)
