I'm 30% into this book, and looking at all the 5 star ratings it's received...no spoilers, please, but I'm frustrated by what appears to be the most dimwitted woman ever born. Can anyone please tell me I'm not going to regret continuing with this book? Thanks.

I see your post was a year ago but I have been simmering and had to vent ..this is one of the worst books I’ve ever read but aside from that, didn’t anybody edit it ?from one chapter to the next there a inconsistencies I am 40% through and I’m going to jump to the last chapter not that I really care what happens yo them!(less)

Why do people summarize the book in its entirety when reviewing? Also, many of those types of reviews completely over-react to the material. To indicate a story includes a great plot twist is sufficient but the melodramatic descriptions sound like used car lot commercials. I'm sorry if this is someone's "job" but it can be done authentically by simple, honest, direct verbiage.

A review is one's thoughts about the book, not the entire plot lifted from the book blurb. They're insulting because I'm smart enough to read it for myself if I so choose. And as I've said before, some people just don't seem to know what a book review actually is. (less)

Whatever happened to Hannah? Did her aunt and uncle take her in? What about her reaction to her mom and dad being arrested? Plus, stupid last few pages, in my opinion

The jumping around with their conversations not matching up is annoying and makes me just skim. Am I missing something or is it intentional?

Did anyone else notice the grammar errors in this book? I read the St. Martin's Press hardcopy edition and I noticed: On pg. 189: "You are not currently the house?" Rather than "You are not currently at the house?" On pg. 218: "You should to listen to me," he said. Rather than "You should listen to me," he said.
