There are a few moments where I thought "I bet that was more fully explained in the last bo…moreI just read it as a standalone and I enjoyed it very much. There are a few moments where I thought "I bet that was more fully explained in the last book," but I don't think I missed out on anything vital. Enough is explained that you can figure out the missing pieces well enough. You probably won't get stuck unable to understand what's happening or who the bad guys and good guys are.(less)
