Could anyone tell me if the main heroine has an interesting personality? I don't want to read another book where the main character's only personality traits are "nice, shy, kind, nice, and indignant to her love interest (:o)". Miss me with that basic shoujo protagonist lol

So a lot of people underestimate her. I definitely wouldn't describe her as nice, shy, and kind. She has her principles and sticks to them but she is strategic in picking her battles.(less)

Are the torture/violence graphic in this series? Could someone please give me the most sad/violence scene that happens? Or tell me if it is gonna be depressing/traumatizing even if not described fully? (I can't read torture scenes even if emphasizes only on how much pain they felt/slow death etc).
