Is Anne Perry laying the ground work for Miriam being Daniel's love interest? While I truly like her character I wish she was not 40 years old. I think Daniel deserves someone nearer to his age and who can provide him with children. Any thoughts out there?

Children might be a bonus, but there is nothing to say that they aren't possible or that they are actually wanted. No guarantees either way, really.

As for what Daniel 'deserves', perhaps what he deserves is to be with a partner that he loves and respects and who feels the same about him?(less)
