I became enthralled with the story simply because of the accomplishments, courage and heroism of this heroine of WWII previously unknown to me. I also hope that it is made into a movie and her story infused with the color, emotion, painful brutality and spirit that Victoria’s epic saga deserves.(less)

I definitely would not rec…moreI am a senior citizen, a retired high school French teacher, and I have read a lot of books about the resistance in France. I definitely would not recommend the book for a seventh grader. The subject matter is appropriate but the journalistic style of writing and the length of the book would be a turnoff for most teens. Maybe Madame Fourcade’s Secret War would be better, but it is long, too. (less)
Wanda Keith Not sure why as there is nothing in the book that infers the main character is LGBT. I just think it is a great book for anyone.
