Steph Reading them in order is mainly important if you're interested in the relationship developments of the main characters, but each book's plot is more o…moreReading them in order is mainly important if you're interested in the relationship developments of the main characters, but each book's plot is more or less stand alone. Subsequent books in the series may refer back to events from previous books, but not so much that you can't make sense of the story, and usually as a side comment that will make you think, "Oh, yeah, I remember when that happened in XYZ book." However, if past events play a bigger role in the current book's plot or character development, Evanovich does a great job offering up any necessary details so you won't be lost moving forward. So, read them in any order you'd like if you're OK with relationship spoilers.(less)
