I can't answer this for you, but I can give information that might help. There is some swearing (not tons), a bit of sexual innuendo (again, not tons, and no descriptions actual sex), and some violent innuendo (though other than the murders that start off the story, nothing compared to typical adventure movies/TV/games teens engage with). I know a teen who read it and liked it (hers is one of the written reviews), so the language and story is accessible to teens. If you need more details, I am happy to give more.(less)
