Welp, I am the older fantasy audience, and I am going to read it (schedule willing). The age of the characters isn't important, it is if the main characters are geared toward a YA audience. I have read YA and I enjoyed it, but it is like Paranormal Romance, I've enjoyed a few, but I much prefer Urban Fantasy. But, in both cases, I'm not the target audience for the one I don't prefer. I have a nine year old Son who is a avid reader. Books such as The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, The Hobbit, all thirteen Wings of Fire books, and twenty some odd classics are his norm. He came across “Fatemarked” and can’t stop asking to read it. I don’t want to hold him back with his reading hunger. My only concern... is Fatemarked age appropriate for a none-year old boy? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
