Endymion occurs some 200 or so years after Fall of Hyperion and the world is heavily affected by the events in the Hyperion books. I probably read Endymion a year after reading Hyperion and I was able to pick up on all the references made to the Hyperion books just fine. So, lots of connections yes but I actually suggest taking a break between the books so that you can draw it out for as long as possible. Once you've read Rise of Endymion, that's it :((less)

A quick reminder about The Fall of Hyperion please. Possible spoilers for that book, but not this one. What happened to the baby? I'm reading Endymion now and several times I've forgotten that Aenea was Brawne Lamia and Johnny Keats' child. I start thinking she is the baby grown back up. I think it will help if I could just remember what happened to her. Thanks.
