I've found after reading a couple chapters that I'm starting to get the rhythm of her writing. I find myself intentionally glossing over the parenthetical clauses of her sentences at first, and then going back and reading them separately. My biggest advice would be don't try to read the whole book cover to cover. Read the parts that interest you most. It's divided into three sections, which as far as I can tell from skimming, stand on their own. I for example skipped ahead to the last book, which directly addresses my particular research interest at the moment, which is the rise of totalitarianism in society.(less)
