I'd say if you're comfortable allowing them to watch a PG-13 movie, this book may be considered appropriate for them. I listened to this book with my 7-year-old in the car but I am more open about adult language with her when listening to books. (less)

I am about 50% done with this book. Why does it seem SO familiar? Was it made into a movie or TV series or something?

Mike I had the same thought on reading the synopsis, I thought and thought and thought and then it came to me. This almost exact plot was used in an episod…moreI had the same thought on reading the synopsis, I thought and thought and thought and then it came to me. This almost exact plot was used in an episode of The Orville (Seth MacFarlane Star Trek wannabe)...I don't know which came first but I think maybe the book, as this was not the first plot from that show that was seemingly ripped from another source, there was an episode that cleaved very closely to an episode of Black Mirror that came before it (less)
