Some older male characters take multiple, much younger wives (they live in a cult). One of these older men comes onto the protagonist a couple of times, and it becomes a relatively significant element in the plot. Two main characters consensually share a bed fully clothed, but the scene is not detailed at all.(less)

The goals presented in the first half of the book are all accomplished or otherwise settled by the end of the first book, and the story wraps up emotionally and personally for the main character. However, the more global problems are far from over, and the protagonist will likely be solving these issues in the sequel.(less)
