We read this in Miss Bloom's 5th grade class every Friday for a few weeks. I remember absolutely loving it but sadly now have no recollection of what it is about. Can anyone give me a summary?

The main character is a teenage girl who gets a summer job babysitting for a young child in Nantucket. The mother is home but she is apparently depressed so the father hires her to watch over them while he is at work. While in Nantucket, she meets a boy (of course) and a strange looking hippie who is looking for his lost girl friend. I don't want to ruin the whole book, but it is a ghost story. (less)
