From the impression the book gave, it seemed that Sarah would mostly brag about Laurie and their closeness. The bus boy might not have fit into that conversation. Also, even though they'd been searching for a long time, the search was given up months prior. Sarah was a proponent of giving up that search too, so not only would she have little incentive to bring up her best friend's "failed romance" up to Jack but also to Laurie herself. In fact, she didn't bring it up again until the wedding and that was prompted by a game when there was a lot of distance. (less)

Some of the language used included profanity, if that is what you are referring to. It was not offensive. This book offers very little of offense. It is milque-toast. I don't recommend it. (less)
