There are continuity issues with this book -- or maybe its with the previous ones. Tripp is mentioned as being from Delaware, but the rest of the narrative puts him from Texas.
This is a sign of laziness on the part of the author or the editor, and makes me crazy. (less)

I love this series, but the voice on this one seems different. Plus the Cafe where Flora works has changed names. Was this book written earlier than books #1 and 2? It just doesn't seem to feel the same as the previous books.

But I read …moreI am also confused by the cafe name change. When I read that it is now called the Seaside Kitchen in book 3, I thought I missed something. But I read books 1 and 2 recently so I don't think I forgot that much. It looks like before book 3 was published, the first book (which I read as The Cafe by the Sea) was republished and called The Summer Seaside Kitchen. I don't know if that name was in the text of the book or just on the title. So then when book 3 came out it was called the Seaside Kitchen. I was really enjoying this series and I have not finished book 3 yet, so I hope that it is still charming. But this is a weird thing that does not work for reading all the books in quick succession.(less)
