However, drug and substance abuse, gory, detailed violence (some domestic as well), sexual references, coarse language (almost constant use of f*ck), and a criminal theme may render it inappropriate for readers my age, depending on how mature they are, and what kind of themes they have been exposed to already (through movies or other books). That said, Eli does comment that the ability to bullshit is essential to a writer, so where fact ends and fiction begins is impossible to know. Amazing as it may sound, though, the red telephone and its location are/were real, apparently.(less)

Im 70 pages in ..... like the writing but there's not a whole lot of plot ....does it kick in soon or does the whole book just meander around the characters lives ?
