Been reading this book quite long time. But I still not found out how her father died. Cresspahl went to prison then come back, but how he died, I still not found. Can you guys tell where mentioned it?

How are we to really understand Cresspahl’s relationship to the Nazi regime in which he lived? Yes, I know he gave information to the British , but somehow that doesn’t seem to explain the situation

James Spencer I believe that we understand it in terms of survival by a social democrat. He did what he could which frankly was more than most.
