Change of Heart also involves medical issues. I cannot remember specifically but I believe someone needs a heart transplant. Lone Wolf is about a man in a coma and what his family decides to do about it. Those are more tangentially related to your question, but they may also interest you!(less)

Vivian Yes. And I agree with Sean that she was only Catholic when it suited her, and that’s not fair.

I thought it was such a great book until the ending. How absolutely horrible and unnecessary. She fought so hard and risked everything for the money - only to then not use it? And then the end with Willow? Just awful.

Savannah Willow died in order for Picoult to make the point that Charlotte only ever wanted the money FOR WILLOW.
