I thought it was fact until about 2/3rds of the way in. I only realised then as I was so gripped by the story that I wanted to know more about the descendants of the main characters who'd be still living today. I couldn't find them on Google and the penny dropped.....

Very well done - felt like the ultimate April Fool!(less)
