Can you tell me please how many pages the original Book Study of History ? Thanks

Jose Brox It spanned 10 volumes, ranging 400-800 pages each, and then a later volume called Reconsiderations.

Who, exactly, claimed it was 'an achievement without parallel in modern scholarship'? I still remember the TLS review of the last three volumes on their first appearance in around 1954 or 1955 ("modern" is an elastic term), a very different view. Not that it has been without influence - its notion of the importance of "challenge and response" infiltrated PR,political and sporting rhetoric. But "scholarship"?
