Can anyone clarify for me? I think I found an error, Mikal reports that he got a call from his mother consoling him when John Lennon was murdered in December of 1980. Then shortly later he writes that his mother died in June of 1980. I tried search online but the only record of Bessie Gilmore's death is in June of 1980.

Shannon Reid His mother died June 1981. He says this in the book.
