While the book is uplifting and encouraging, Amber Rae curses a lot, and covers topics like her father's death, drug abuse, and lust/cheating that might be a bit mature for a 12 year old. The encouragement is also aimed at older people, using examples about entrepreneurs who didn't actually want to have started a business, and other similar "adult problems" that might not be as relatable or helpful to someone in middle school.(less)
