The “f” word is u…moreI’m somewhat of a “prude” when it comes to protecting our kiddos, so in my opinion, this is not suitable for middle school students. The “f” word is used by one character multiple times. There is a scene where the girls take a “quiz” in a “women’s magazine” and it deals with oral sex. I’m appalled that the book is targeted to the YA audience, but I’m sure that’s because the main characters are teenage girls. If you do decide to use this, I would get parents to sign a form to allow their child to read it, otherwise you’ll risk complaints after the fact. Good luck! (less)
