The plot sounds somewhat similar to A Simple Favor by Darcey Bell. Has anyone read that book? Maybe it's the other way around as I read somewhere that this book is based on real life events? Any thoughts?

Kelli I think the author has loosely based her plot on the real life school girl murders in Ontario, Canada by Paul Bernardo and Karla Holmoka.
