I keep getting stuck on a simile in the book's description. Her "gingersnaps are as tart as her comebacks"? Well... gingersnaps aren't tart. What they are is spicy. Could it be that her comebacks are as spicy as her gingersnaps?

Tracey The writing is terrible throughout - bad enough that I missed that one. Good point. The author suffers from thesaurusitis.

They are re-releasing the early books with a cover based on the Hallmark movie. I've seen them at Barnes & Noble, in the mystery section, not the cooking section, lol, and I"m sure they are available from Amazon. A few years ago, I picked up some earlier books at a used books store, but that's before they became a Hallmark Mystery.(less)
