I really hope that Mil is dead tho, even tho i liked her in their first book, after all that happened i wish someone more like Val (btw "Empire" was my fav so far, hope this one will outdo) for Chase. Miracle with Phoenix was enough, no need for the same to happen with Mil please (!), imo?.

The fact that if she was really written off the series has to be the final straw for me with stopping with this series. She was the only female leader and also one fighting to redeem her family name. The reason for Mil even betraying the family was senseless. She had the backing of the richest and most powerful mafia leaders (one being her step brother) why the hell would she need more money is beyond me. Understandable that the author is trying to strength Chase’s character and make him more of a badass but it’s a total disappointment to kill Mil off. If he was to get a new love interest I would lose faith in the author. How can one move pass losing their love one so fast? Sergio’s story was already pushing it. Sigh 😔....(less)
