I was really thrown off at the end of the first book by the realization that Senlin would not find Marya any time soon. By the end of the second book, that plot line felt like an afterthought. But I just don't care. I love every supporting character in this story and I'm fully invested them, maybe even more so than I am in Tom and Marya's reunion. I truly love this series. Anyone else feel the same?
