I assume the earlier published books are more pulp sci-fi but I'm ok with that, I'm enjoying the whole universe. It harks back to Larry Niven's Ring World books I read as a kid. If you're looking for something more intellectually stimulating and you don't want to invest in the entire Halo universe then those might suit you better.(less)
