The book is a compilation of comics already posted online, so no, you're not missing much if you give it a pass.

On the other hand, the appeal of buying it is threefold: First, it supports the artist. Second, it's convenient to be able to hold the comics in your hands and flip through them physically. And third, it gives you access to the comic/essay hybrid bonus material at the end of the book, which gives advice and perspective on being a young creative on the internet today.
